Accessibility for Neurodivergent Clients

  • Session options: Walk and talk, in-person office, online

  • Appointment reminders

  • Fidgets and stimming welcome

  • Eye contact is always optional

  • Scent-reduced office space

  • Minimal background noise

  • No overhead lighting, and the option to move lamps around

  • Option to communicate in writing during session – online through chat, or in-person on paper

  • Using visuals and notes

  • Understanding the importance of special interests

  • Questions welcome anytime

I’m open to your requests and feedback as well, as I continue adding to this list. In working with neurodivergent clients, I offer understanding and guidance in identifying sensory needs, discovering more self-compassion, and finding deep joy in authenticity.

Office accessibility

My office space is located on the main floor of a small office building in the Ritchie neighbourhood. There’s lots of free parking on the street, and a short distance from the bus stop on Whyte Avenue. The office space is wheelchair accessible, but unfortunately the washroom is not. The nearest accessible bathroom is at Ace Coffee, one block away. The office is scent-reduced, and the lights, seating, and pace of sessions can be easily modified. Seating is available in the waiting room and office that works well for all body sizes. Please let me know if you have access needs or preferences that aren’t included here.
